About Pop Warner Little Scholars Cheer and Dance:

Pop Warner officially recognized cheerleading as a sport in 1970s, however, cheerleading has been part of the Pop Warner Little Scholars program for many years prior to that. Pop Warner emphasizes fun and safely in their Spirit Program which is steadily growing.

Scholastic Fitness:

Pop Warner Little Scholars requires that members have a 2.0/70% grade point average in order to participate. Students who are unable to maintain this average may fill out a Scholastic Eligibility Form and have it signed by their school administrator.

Pop Warner offers 2 Spirit Squad Programs:

  • Traditional, which meets from from August 1st to December 31st
  • Year-Round, which meets from August 1st to July 31st

Cheer & Dance Divisions:

  • Tiny-Mite: ages 5-7
  • Mitey-Mite: ages 7-9
  • Junior Peewee: ages 8-11
  • Peewee: ages 9-12
  • Junior Midget: ages 10-13
  • Midget: ages 11-15
  • Junior Bantam: ages 12-15
  • Unlimited: ages 12-15
  • Bantam: ages 13-16

Pop Warner has no tryouts and every child who wishes to participate has a place on the Squad. Pop Warner Spirit Squads maintain careful safety standards.
