Soccer for Challenged Children

From Heidi Coghlan, About.com GuideOctober 26, 2008

A mom and substitute teacher at Yoder Elementary school in Burlington, NC saw how much her kids loved soccer and decided to bring the game to the children with autism she works with. She started a soccer league for challenged children which currently has 2 teams and a number of "buddies" (helpers on the field) participating.

I've posted information about baseball for challenged children but haven't before seen anything about soccer. I hope this grows like the baseball leagues. It's a great opportunity for challenged kids to experience sports and have some fun.
