Looking for 4-H Volunteers in FL

Saturday August 25, 2007

Baker County 4-H in Florida is looking for volunteers. Positions they are looking to fill include Marketing and Recruiting Volunteer and Fund Raising Volunteer Chairman plus Club Leaders, Project Leaders, and volunteers to help out occasionally.

This is just one example of kids' clubs around the country looking for volunteers. Locally, I've seen several examples of kids' clubs being short on volunteers, from girls wanting spots in Girl Scout troops to fall ball teams being cut. Sadly, it seems that these organizations are always short on adult help, which means they're short on spots for the children. So, what can you do?

Volunteer!

Yes, you. Whether you have time to dedicate regularly to a team or other group, or a few hours occasionally to help out, you can make a difference in a child's life. You'll be surprised how good you feel, too.
