Little League World Series Matchup is . . .

It's down to the final 2 teams. Today's games decided the International and United States Champions who will play in the Little League World Series Game tomorrow, Sunday 26 August.

Japan won 7 to 4 over the Caribbean team. A come from behind grand slam was the deciding play, Kanekubo's first ever. Read the details on the Little League Web site.

Warner Robins, Georgia (Southeast) won 5 to 2 over Lubbock, Texas (Southwest). Georgia's shortstop Conlon made a spectacular catch in the 5th inning that prompted Texas manager to say “That was one of the greatest plays I’ve seen in a shortstop.” Find out more on the the Little League Web site.

So, the official final matchup for the 2007 Little League World Series is:

United States Champions: Warner Robins American LL
of Warner Robins, Georgia (Southeast)
vs.
International Champions: Tokyo Kitasuna LL of Tokyo, Japan

The game will be played at 3:30pm EST and will be broadcast live on ABC.

Lubbock Texas (Southwest) will meet Willemstad, Curacao in a consolation game at noon broadcast on ESPN.
