Little League World Series Update -- Day 5

Round one of the Little League World Series is over. The top 2 teams in each of the 4 pools will move on to the semi-final round on Thursday, August 23^rd. "Which teams?" you ask. Well here they are:

In the International Semi-finals:

• First Place in Pool D, La Victoria Little League Maracaibo, Venezuela representing Latin America
  vs.
  Second Place in Pool C, Pabao Little League Willemstad, Curacao representing the Caribbean
  -Game is scheduled for noon EST and will be broadcast on ESPN
  
  
• First Place in Pool C, Tokyo Kitasuna LL Tokyo, Japan representing Japan
  vs.
  Second Place in Pool D, Li-Shing LL, Taichung, Chinese Taipei representing Asia-Pacific
  -Game is scheduled for 5pm EST and will be broadcast on ESPN2

In the United States Semi-finals:

• First Place in Pool B, Lubbock Western Little League, Lubbock, Texas representing the Southwest
  vs.
  Second Place in Pool A, Lake Oswego LL, Lake Oswego, Oregon representing the Northwest
  -Game is scheduled for 3pm EST and will be broadcast on ESPN
  
  
• First Place in Pool A, Warner Robins American LL, Warner Robins, Georgia representing the Southeast
  vs.
  Second Place in Pool B, Chandler National LL, Chandler, Arizona representing the West
  -Game is scheduled for 7:30pm and will be broadcast on ESPN

If you haven't watched the kids play, check out at least a couple innings of these games. I haven't had the luxury of watching a whole game, but what I have seen. Wow! These kids are great. Who knows? Maybe you'll recognize one of their names on your favorite MLB team some day!
