Countdown to the Little League World Series

Children around the world are gearing up for the Little League World Series. It will take place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania from August 17th to the 26the.

Participating Teams will be:

  • Pabao Little League from Willemstad, Curacao representing the Caribbean
  • Tokyo Kitasuna LL from Tokyo, Japan representing Japan
  • Arabian American Little League from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia representing the Transatlantic
  • Seguro Social LL from Mexicali, Baja California representing Mexico
  • Li-Shing LL from Taichung, Chinese Taipei representing the Asian-Pacific
  • Windmills Apeldoorn LL from Apeldoorn, Netherlands representing Europe, the Middle East and Africa
  • La Victoria Little League from Maracaibo, Venezuela representing Latin America
  • as well as teams, yet to be decided, from 8 regions in the United States and one from Canada

In addition to the most famous Little League World Series, children are competing in the World series in Junior, Senior and Big League Baseball, plus Junior, Little, Senior and Big League Softball. Some of these championship series have already begun and some have yet to begin. The ESPN networks and ABC are broadcasting many of the games in all divisions. Check the schedule to see when the kids are playing ball.
