Junior Achievement Survey: Students Not Prepared for Work Force
A recent Junior Achievement survey of more than 400 US empoloyers revealed some distressing results. Employers view a high percentage of high school graduates as "deficient" in many job related skills such as written communication and work ethics.
The problem? While school may give the children the information they need, it often doesn't teach children the "soft skills" necessary for the real world."
If you're concerned about your child's preparation for the world after high school, consider enrolling him in a program such as Junior Achievement or other organizations that teach skills beyond the classroom and help prepare him for a career.
